Yes. If your machine supports NVMe (more recent models), we recommend it because it is far faster than a traditional SSD. We check compatibility before installing.
Can I use the old drive as extra storage? ▾
Yes. On desktops it can stay in as a second drive. On laptops we can turn it into an external drive with a USB enclosure.
How fast is a 1 TB SSD? ▾
An SSD is 5 to 10 times faster than a mechanical drive (HDD). If it is NVMe, it can be 30 to 50 times faster. The difference is immediate.
