Merge PDF
All localCombine multiple PDFs into a single file in the order you choose. Everything happens in your browser — your files never leave your computer.
Drag your PDFs here
No file count limit. Recommended up to 100 MB per file.
Advanced options
Saved in the PDF metadata. Leave empty if you prefer the file to have no author or title.
Use the arrows to reorder. The final file will merge them in this order.
How it works
No uploads, and in your order
The PDFs are combined exactly in the order you set with the arrows. Nothing is sent to any server: the final file is assembled in your own browser.
What is preserved
Text, images, links and the visual structure of every page. Everything you see on screen is preserved, and the text stays selectable and searchable.
What is NOT preserved, told in advance
Interactive indexes and fillable forms are lost when merging: it is a limitation of processing PDFs in the browser. Whenever we detect either of those in your files, we say so before processing and you decide.
Neutral metadata
The resulting document comes out with no author or title, so it doesn’t silently inherit the details of any original — usually someone else’s. If you want to give it a title of your own, there is a field in advanced options.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the order of the PDFs? ▾
Yes. Every file has arrows to move it up or down the list. The order you see in the panel is exactly the order of the final file.
How many PDFs can I merge at once? ▾
There is no hard limit: two, ten or fifty. The practical limit is the total weight and your device’s memory; we suggest staying under roughly 500 MB combined.
What happens to bookmarks and forms? ▾
They are lost in the merged file. It is a limitation of processing PDFs in the browser, not a choice of ours. The important part: whenever we detect a file that has them, we tell you before processing and you choose whether to continue or drop it from the batch. A form that stops being fillable still looks the same, which is exactly why we prefer to say it in time.
What about password-protected PDFs? ▾
They are skipped from the result automatically and the rest merge as usual. A protected PDF has to be decrypted before processing, and that is beyond this tool. Remove the protection with the program that applied it and add it again.
What if I need to split a PDF instead of merging? ▾
Use our Split PDF tool: it separates a PDF into several files, by page or by range. And if the merged file ends up too heavy, you can run it through Compress PDF.
