It is the difference between a scoreboard and a sheet of paper: nobody else on the court has to ask what the score is.
One person keeps score
The referee, the coach or whoever volunteers scores from their phone. Big buttons, meant to be used without looking.
Everyone else just watches
The tablet on the bench, the TV by the court or the broadcast screen update themselves. Nothing to refresh.
Nothing to install, no account
It opens in the browser. If you would rather keep it handy, it installs as an app on Android. It asks for no email and no sign-up.

Why it exists
Not everything we make is for sale
Yeli started by solving something domestic: keeping score in a volleyball game without wrestling with a sheet of paper. It stayed because it turned out useful, and it grew until it covered nine sports and a couple of dozen games.
We keep it free because it is not a commercial product. It is what the team builds when it has an idea — and, incidentally, the most honest way of showing how we work: if you like how this one behaves, and we made it for the fun of it, you can guess how we build the things we do charge for.

Is Yeli really free? ▾
Yes. Free, no account, no ads and no hidden paid tier. It is not a commercial Solutech product: it is what comes out when the team has an idea and builds it.
How do the live rooms work? ▾
Whoever keeps score creates a room and shares the code. Other devices join with that code and watch the score update in real time. It works both for the bench following the game and for putting the score on a big screen.
Which sports does it cover? ▾
Volleyball, basketball, football, baseball, tennis, padel, table tennis, dominoes and chess, each with its own rules: sets, quarters, innings, chess clocks and the rest. It is not a generic counter with the name changed.
Do I need internet? ▾
To keep score on a single device, no. For several screens to stay in sync with each other, yes: that part needs a connection.
What do the games have to do with a scoreboard? ▾
Nothing, and that is rather the point. It started as a volleyball scoreboard and grew with whatever the team felt like building. Today it has a couple of dozen games, most with an online mode for playing across devices.
What happened to the basketball scoreboard you had before? ▾
Yeli replaces it. That scoreboard did one thing; Yeli handles basketball with all its rules, plus eight other sports and the live rooms. The privacy policy for the older app is still published for anyone who needs it.
